The purpose of the following study is to characterize the design of an organizational structure supported by central processes and academic sub-processes, which will allow for putting the integral curriculum into operation in the educational area of the Undergraduate Training Program in Social Management for Local Development at the Bolivarian University of Venezuela, located in Zulia, based on the approaches to organizational development proposed by Mintzberg (2001), oriented toward quality in university education. The methodology used was based on two key phases of research: bibliographic review and systematizing the program management experiences, based on the use of content analysis techniques with informatics support for qualitative data called NUD-IST. Partial research results indicated the importance of planning, organization and coordination of the teaching-research activities and socio-educational and socio-communitarian interaction of the training program.
