Abstract

BERRIOS, Olecy; CASTILLO, María Eugenia  and  CASTRO, Elizabeth. Management model in the framework of university transformation . Revista de Ciencias Sociales [online]. 2009, vol.15, n.3, pp.519-528. ISSN 1315-9518.

It is undeniable that management is associated with innovation and change, especially in academic organizations. It has to do in a general way with applications of a managerial model in the context of university transformation, so that the structures will be very different from the existing ones, much more streamlined and efficient through participative management, where leadership distributes power so that whoever receives it responds for him or herself and for the success of the organization. From this perspective, this article aims to approach what new university management should be, in the face of the transformation processes required in this century.

Keywords : University transformation; managerial model; university management.
