Resumen
ANEZ H, Carmen. Intellectual Capital: A New Focus on the Flexibility of Labor. Revista Venezolana de Gerencia [online]. 2005, vol.10, n.30, pp.310-324. ISSN 1315-9984.
The aspects to be developed in this paper, refer to the factors that determine the application of labor flexibility, the advantages for capitalization, and intellectual capital as a new form of flexibilización. In order to do this a bibliographical review of theory was undertaken. The results reflect that globalization has had a negative effect on the labor environment, and an example of this is the dismantling of labor relationships, based on the implementation of a flexibilization strategy to diminish labor costs. The manager is considering the value of intellectual capital, because the knowledge level of workers generates more value in companies. The conclusion is that labor flexibilización continues to be effective as a capital strategy. The evaluation of intellectual capital is part of a strategy that pursues increasing the competitiveness of companies, motivating workers to contribute their knowledge to organizations, constructing answers, and innovating and solving problems according to the changes and demands of the market. In spite of this, precariousness continues affecting workers.
