A methodology that emerges from a research project entitled "The University Goes to School" (LUVE) is described and analyzed in order to consider its onto-epistemological-axiological consistency and relevance and to display the variety of options offered to the novel researcher. The research subject, the theoretical frame of reference, the methods and techniques of research as well as the Mediating Social Technology (TSM) which is built in the interaction process University-Elementary School are defined. The analysis shows how the components of the project are evolving into a type of critical educational research intended to promote changes in the organizational culture of specific elementary schools and, simultaneously, to generalize the TSM and to theorize about the change as an organizational learning. It also suggest the challenge it represents for the researcher, the emerging of paradigmatic breakthroughs coming from the radicalization of the critical theory within the postmodernity context, from new explanations of the change processes based on the thermodynamic of irreversible processes and from the informatic and telecomunication revolution.
