The pseudo-knowledge in the creation of images has blocked the integral education of the audio-visual communicator, who must prepare to use the oral, written and visual language. To overcome this limitation, the School of Social Communication at LUZ included the elective subject "Análisis de la imagen" (Image Analysis), with which important educational deficiencies related to visual illiteracy were discovered and allowed the important studies about visual language. The theoretical-methodological orientation starts with the university syllabus conception: Holistic strategies, educative technology raising, action theory, educative project and the integral education process (Inciarte, 1998). This work is centered in the evaluation of the experience, during the years 1998-2000.
