Resumen

MARCANO, Noraida  y  ORTEGA, Sheila. PROPUESTA DE LINEAMIENTOS GEOESTRATÉGICOS PARA EL DESARROLLO EDUCATIVO DE LA ZONA FRONTERIZA: MUNICIPIO PÁEZ DEL ESTADO ZULIA. Investigación y Postgrado [online]. 2001, vol.16, n.2, pp.135-157. ISSN 2244-7474.

This work intends to propose some Geostrategic Outlines for the Educational Development of the Border Area: Páez District of the Zulia State, which derive from the analysis of the factors that condition the educational development in the District, where the educational, economic, sociocultural, demographic and natural-physical aspects of that border reality are identified through the descriptive-exploratory methodology. Two stratified samples were worked, one of the educational personnel of the educational institutions located in the area and the other one, which includes the parents and representatives of the students attending those institutions. The techniques and instruments employed were the direct observation of intervening elements and the survey type questionnaire, which allowed to obtain the necessary inputs to determine why that border area requires a geostrategical proposal, with prospective vision that, supported in the systemic and holistic focuses, drives to improve the current situation of the education, conditioned in an unfavorable way for the contextual factors of the internal and external environment that have relegated it to a stagnation in its development.

Palabras clave : Geostrategic outlines for the educational development; Border area; Páez Municipality of the Zulia state.
