LOPEZ DE D'AMICO, Rosa.  PARTICIPATION AND PERCEPTION OF HUMAN RESOURCES IN SPORT ORGANIZATIONS. Investigación y Postgrado [online]. 2003, vol.18, n.1, pp.58-70. ISSN 1316-0087.

The attainability of an organization’s objectives requires the participation and perception of all its members in order to develop a realistic and overall view of the organization’s diversity. Understanding of organizational behavior requires knowledge of how the organization works, but most importantly, listening to and understanding its members. The management process should contribute to the organization’s effectiveness. The success of some national sports organizations has been studied from different perspectives. But members’ satisfaction and opinions are not often critically analyzed; more often, this is an intentionally ignored topic, a taboo to others or one that is only studied theoretically. This article presents the perspectives of members with similar forms of affiliation in various national sporting organizations from: Albania , Australia , Ecuador , France , Indonesia , Italy and New Zealand . The participants’ voices in terms of regulations are classified according to the group they represent. This study looks at the members’ opinions towards regulations in their organizations, since their perceptions and feelings towards the organization can affect its output. It concludes by reinforcing the importance of human resources management’s being directed towards enhancing members’ satisfaction, motivation, commitment and performance as key elements that will contribute to the achievement of the organizations goals.
