Within the notion of Professional Teaching Growth, this article analyses the antecedents and legal regulations associated with it in Venezuela. The main objective is to describe and differentiate aspects related to teachers’ actualization, improvement and training as well as their links to the working environment. From the conceptual perspective assumed in the study, we examine the specific case of the Experimental Science Teachers. By assessing the actual situation of these educators in Venezuela, we are able to propose several actions directed to a professional improvement that may allow the noteworthy social projection of the teaching career.
