The main purpose of this research was the reconstruction of the dynamics and typology of the peasants knowledge in the state of Táchira in different spaces and environments contexts, both as cultural inheritance of rural communities and as an essential basis for the definition of the educational process in the upbringing of the peasants, as seen from an anthropological and cultural points of view, and inserted in the framework of a new rurality. We used the phenomenological and hermeneutic methods in three different rural, cultural and environmental scenarios -páramo, mountain and foothills- in the Táchira state and in three different peasant generations -senior, adults and youngsters. That allowed us to recreate, reconstruct and revaluate the subjective peasant knowledge and objectively in their inter and intra generational daily practices. This analysis allowed us to determine eight integrative categories and their corresponding emerging concepts which helped us to set the basis for our Pedagogía de los saberes campesinos (Pedagogy of the peasant knowledge) that, after the reconstitution of the local knowledge, will have consequences in the searching of rural education with a better social and cultural pertinence.
