Abstract

ARTEAGA QUINTERO, Marlene. THREE-DIMENSIONAL MODEL OF TRANSVERSALITY. Investigación y Postgrado [online]. 2005, vol.20, n.2, pp.241-274. ISSN 1316-0087.

This work is a documentary investigation that it had like primary target to create a curricular model that interpreted the scholastic work under a globalizing approach. In it are reviewed, in first term, the theories on the interdisciplinariety and the transdisciplinariety. Immediately, it is undertaken the analysis of the cross-sectional approach and the correlation of areas to join its relations with the previous ones. Also appears the confrontation between those who supports curriculum to discipline, in front of those in favor of globalized curriculum. The study of the position to discipline individualized and the particular defense of the integrating perspective generate a new vision of the transversality to transdisciplinar that it proposes globalized curriculum and totally integrated through a common nexus. Diverse models of transversality of different countries are studied, until arriving at the original elaboration of a Three-dimensional Model of Transversality (MTT) that includes three planes of the reality: plane of the transverse axes, plane of the conceptual contents, procedurals and actitudinals and plane of the temporary, spatial, social and personal dimensions. The Model (MTT) will have, then, (like in all reality) flexible features, demanding and also ideological and it could be considered for its application in anyone of the educational levels.

Keywords : curricular model; transversality; transdisciplinariety.
