This study attempts to explain the importance of new multimedia interactive formats used in education. The purpose is to establish the bases for the creation of new teaching material and curricula. The research analyses the teacher’s role against the impact of interactive activities and new media in educational processes. It also defines advantages for using interactive media in teaching and learning. A clear conclusion is that the impact of interactive multimedia in educational processes implies changing current paradigms due to constant communicative transformations pushed by technological advances.
