Abstract

As a contribution to improve teaching at the university level, this research presents the instructional design of an on-line didactic experience as part of the professional development for the graduate program instructors. References are made to the value of experience for improving pedagogical practice. The value of instructional designing and its theoretical and pedagogical conception are taken into account as well as selecting strategies used to enhance virtual and semi-present learning environment. The following aspects are highlighted: instructional structure, instructor’s expertise in teaching mixed courses, on-line participation, and performance. From this experience we can device a crucial instructional guide for considering and redirecting pedagogical action mediated by technology. The final aim is for instructors to evaluate their performance in order to improve their own teaching.
