A well conducted thesis may have positives outcomes for the researcher in both intellectual and affective terms. At the same time, the investigation could represent an important professional development. The present article offers experiences and reflections about the process of formulation and development of a thesis. The aim was to create a set of guidelines that can help the researcher to deliver a better work. In this context the research basic premises were examined and a tentative research outline was proposed in order to determine the corpus. Evaluation was not absent from this process. For this reason, there is an evaluation scheme that can be used as a self evaluation or thesis evaluation tool.
