This article presents the results of a study about the work satisfaction levels of a sample of 1473 elementary school teachers. Those levels are compared with those obtained from a similar research conducted in 1996 using a sample of 750 teachers. Both studies used a scale constructed from the lineaments brought by The Herzberg Bifactorial Theory et al., (1959). The comparison shows statistically significant differences indicating that the work satisfaction levels have decreased with regard to the evaluated factors.
