CANIZALES, Josefa Yamira. Study of the Research Process Implemented by Practising Teachers: A Phenomenologic Aproximation. Investigación y Postgrado [online]. 2008, vol.23, n.3, pp.179-197. ISSN 1316-0087.
The aim of this article is to give an account of the meaning teachers have attached to the research process implemented by them as participants of the Project "Action-Research in Educational Areas" which is being carried out at UPEL-Maturín. The study was approached from the phenomenological perspective, it analyzed the verbal descriptions made by a participant on her experiences. It followed the qualitative analysis of Giorgi (1992), which is based on human experiences. The study analyzed the in depth interviews of the professor under study as well as some episodes taken from her Teacher Diary. It is structured in two parts: the first sets forth the theoretical approach carried out, highlighting the overview given to the meaning of the research and the contributions of the research-action as a methodology for the transformation of pedagogical practice. The second part sets forth the reconstruction of the experience of a teacher that has implemented research-action in her everyday work.
