Resumen

NORO, Jorge Eduardo. ORIGIN, GLORIFICATION AND CRISIS OF MODERN SCHOOL: FROM HOLY SCHOOL TO DESECRATED SCHOOL. Investigación y Postgrado [online]. 2010, vol.25, n.2-3, pp.109-114. ISSN 1316-0087.

The purpose of this paper is to offer a brief reconstruction of the history of modern school from a specific perspective: the ecclesiastical part. This category allows to state the gradual transformation process of the school from the original sacred to its desecration today. On the core of the religious isotopic let us address the following steps: (a) the parent church as a determinant of the sacred characters of the constitution of the school, from the sixteenth century. (B) The intervention of the modern states as a trigger of the secularization process of the school. (C) The breakdown of modernity as a determining variable in the process of demystification of the school. (D) The deepening of the deterioration symptoms of the practices and the social significance of the school, interpreted as manifestations of a state of desecration that threatens the survival of the school as an educational agency of the society.

Palabras clave : school; parent; formal education; education crisis; modernity.
