The National Education Project as a fundamental pillar expresses the importance of linking the school with community life. In this sense, the concept of National Education Project curriculum raises the Comprehensive Community Education Project as a tool for building spaces that encourage school-environment integration. In this process, the teacher, is called to engage in a critical and flexible view that enables him to act collectively in the area where the school is located. In this regard we describe an experience of building a project in which teachers: a) the teachers appropriated the theoretical and methodological aspects for the construction of the project. b) Developed and implemented action plans for dealing with problematic situations regarding academic/community and c) strengthened the commitment and sense of belonging for teamwork.
