Venezuelans Petroglyphs are a universal heritage and a legacy of indigenous peoples for its aesthetic and symbolic elements complex and its undoubted equity and identity. However, its importance is not always highlighted in the print media. This research analyzes the underlying ideological vision in the media about the petroglyphs. There was also developed study to check the gathered information on the sacred stones, in order to contrast the written speech from van Dijk (2003). In the fieldwork was photographed the Guri glyphs by the MBA and the UCV. We present a Eurocentric discourse magazine and a newspaper article in which ideological consumerist patterns are reproduced, which distorts the argumentative discourse. Overall, there was adequate information processing in scientific journals.
