The purpose of this investigation is to clarify what teachers know about the conception of themselves and the autonomy, from believes and knowledge perspective, they have acquire from their practices, within the context of the Bolivarian School. The paradigm in which this study was based on was the social constructionism. The investigation was designed on a rising qualitative model. During the study, it was used the narrative biographic method. The study population was the teachers from the Bolivarian School. For the data collection process, the qualitative interview and group discussion were used; they helped on the interpretation of the collected data and the interpretation of the hermeneutical triangulation. Some of the findings of this investigation were: a) the teachers conception and the teachers autonomy are a collective construction; b) There are symptoms of subjectivity towards the formation of an educator of human qualities, with a technical-teaching performance, identified with what teaching entails and creative-innovator and; c) the decision making process and the need of regulations are related to the conception of autonomy.
