Translators must be up to the challenge that their changing working-languages represent; therefore, they also have to face the challenge of how to approach the process of continuous actualization. To be up to the already mentioned challenge will not only help translators to use the right terminology when translating a specialized text, but it will also help them to open their terminology options in other emerging fields; in which translation is required. In this article, the main challenges -of translators- of the linguistic updating process will be listed, the best type of continuous actualization that will help to deal with the challenges faced by translators (resources, techniques, and regulations that translators must comply with) will be explained, and the specific case of financial translation will be analyzed.
