The space is conceived as an important category of society with actions of organized groups that change throughout history. The purpose of this investigation is to study the dynamics of space of the parish of Caricuao, characterizing the environmental elements seen nowadays and explaining the geohistorical and socio-cultural dynamics of such community. This study is a desk-based, exploratory, descriptive, interpretative, and reflexive-critical type. The gathered data made possible the study of the evolution of the geohistorical space of Caricuao, the conceptual mapping from the outcome of field investigation, and the analysis the geographical space from an interdisciplinary perspective. From the reflexive stage on the investigation three milestones were described: agricultural, oil, and postoil expansion. This community is worried about the environmental situations they are going through; thus, it has successfully found solutions to those situations throughout communal councils.
