An environmental educational plan for the sustainability of the animals sold for ethnomedical and occult-religious use in the Baralt Av. in the city of Caracas, and contiguous zones, was designed. The study comprehended 13 store managers and 25 customers. The investigation included the following stages: store-sample selection, characterization of the group of study, analysis of results and design of environmental educational plan. The results showed that most of the people interviewed have a high educational level, the use of animals is essential for ethnomedical and occult-religious practices, and fauna conservation is not a mayor concern among this population; nevertheless, there is willingness to improve on this last aspect. The plan proposal included sustainable use and commercialization of animals as well as the outreach of educational material in these matters.
