This article has the objective to show (discursively) the need to incorporate the identity matter and the significance form of the individuals, during the teachers’ initial formation- their duty makes them face children and teenagers, with diverse identities, who experiment situations of disadvantage, oppression, and/or exclusion. This demands the acquisition of tools that make possible pedagogical practices to adequate to diversity; such change should affect students’ learning results and the development of skills and cognitive superior abilities, during their educational processes, as result of intercultural experiences.
