Based on terminology and concepts internationally accepted concerning competition, this study attempts to examine some lines or policies for implementing at all levels (micro, meso, macro and meta economic) for achieving the continual improvement of competition in the Industrialized Consumer Industrial Food Goods (CIFG) in Cuba.  It attempts to be the chapter pending in a previous work concerning this same theme carried out in the year 2004 (Benitez and Cruz, 2004).  With this new entry, some ideas put forth there are confirmed and broadened, while other new ones that were not present or were simply sketched are developed, in order to complete the analysis that permits helping those who carry out policy in the design of productive development guidelines for this activity in the country.
