NOUEL, Gustavo et al. Consumo y digestibilidad de bloques nutricionales para conejos, compuestos por tres forrajeras del semiárido comparadas con soya perenne. Bioagro [online]. 2003, vol.15, n.1, pp.23-30. ISSN 1316-3361.
Intake and digestibility of nutritional blocks for rabbits, composed by three forage plants from semiarid habitats as compared to Neonotonia wightii Semiarid habitat species Calea berteriana D.C. (Asteraceae, [C]), Waltheria americana (Sterculiaceae, [W]) and Mimosa arenosa (Fabaceae, [M]), compared with Neonotonia wightii (N) were evaluated as constituent of multinutritional blocks (MB), for protein source, at three levels of inclusion (13, 18, and 23 %) of MB, generating 12 treatments offered as unique ration to twelve 4.5 month-old rabbits. After an experimental time of 21d with phases of adaptation and phases for measurement of block intake and excreta production, the DM, CP and NDF intake and apparent DM digestibility were determined. It was found that W (46,32g1d y 62,45%) and C (4l,43g/d and 56,48%) result with levels of DM intake and digestibility close to those of N (52,40g/d and 65,11%). W and C may be considered as potential protein sources for rabbits, being necessary their evaluation in assays of growth and production.
