The first report of Diaphania indica affecting a cucumber crop (Cucumis sativus L) in Venezuela is presented. D. indica looks very similar to D. hyalinata and it is very probable that both species were formerly confused. The report suggests the need to deeply study the distribution of this pest in the country.
