GRUBER, Lisette; LUGO, José Gregorio; DIAZ, Lisbeth y BELLO, María Alejandra. Evaluation of two forms of localized irrigation on growth and yield of eggplant crop. Bioagro [online]. 2008, vol.20, n.2, pp.131-134. ISSN 1316-3361.
Two forms of localized irrigation systems were evaluated on growth and yield of eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). Plants were grown on plastic bags and irrigated by drip tape (T0) or underground system (T1) using a completely randomized design with 10 repetitions and 14 plants per plot. The drip tape irrigation produced higher plant height (53.08 vs. 45.93 cm) and yield (2388 vs. 1882 g·m-2) than the underground system. There were no differences regarding the number of leaves (11.58 vs. 11.51) at the end of the experiment, 85 days after sowing.
Palabras clave : Drip tape; underground irrigation; Solanum melongena.
