Resumen

SUAREZ, Mariana Libertad. Entre novela y sicalipsis: deseo, cuerpo y subjetivación de la mujer intelectual en Delta en la soledad. Revista Venezolana de Estudios de la Mujer [online]. 2006, vol.11, n.27, pp.087-0106. ISSN 1316-3701.

In the proper core of regionalism -which is responsible in framing definitively woman in the world of emotions; the masculine, heterosexual and half-breed person, in the world of reason; and the invasive and barbaric mass into the passions- some minor writing appeared where the feminine subjects were able to scan, to question and to design themselves -through the more varied sorts of strategies- up to unbalance the subjective casts wherein women were being intended to be imposed to from the pattern. One of the most remarkable examples on this phenomenon is Lourdes Morales’ short stories book, named Delta en la soledad (1946), in which -through the fictionalisation of writing process and the figure of intellectual woman of first half of 20th century- the author offers her position about a variety of prohibited themes within the high culture -like sexuality, incest, rapes, and sexualization of feminine body- while she expressed her ethical, aesthetical and political position on such phenomena.

Palabras clave : Women literature; Regionalism; Feminine subject.
