The United Nations works to promote gender equality; this objective has been taken by Venezuela as a primary commitment. Trying to preserve women’s rights within the Venezuelan society, it was adopted the Organic Law on the Right of Women to a Life Free of Violence, which runs from March 19, 2007, where several long lasting objectives of the Venezuelan women are fulfilled. The struggle of women for their liberation, we must remember, demands true liberation of peoples by eliminating those perversities still present in our societies as the machismo and discrimination. Therefore, this fight should meet certain parameters that we wanted to give up in three words: dignity, justice and love.
