The fight against gender violence has become a priority for feminism across the world, not even for states. However, sometimes the very concept of gender violence is not well-defined and it is confused with the domestic violence or violence itself, so the fight against it may prove less effective than what is intended. This article takes the Comprehensive Law against Gender Violence adopted in Spain as an example of the importance of different definitions and scope that is covered when it comes to combat violence against women.
