This brief discussion is intended to highlight the importance of analyzing gender violence in the frame of the symbolic and cultural violence, where are legitimated some practices within a patriarchal and capitalist system, which is evident in physical violence, that becomes more visible, while the one that holds the production and reproduction of the latter, is usually invisible in the critical discourse and analysis, and even in the feminist practices. It shall be bracing to go look those invisible threads that naturalize and legitimize violence, embodying its cultural expression in language, cultural images, identity and gendered bodies.
