Resumen
ESCALONA ROJAS, Blanca. Cuerpos violentados y mitos sexuales: Sobre dignificar la corporeidad de las mujeres afrovenezolanas. Revista Venezolana de Estudios de la Mujer [online]. 2009, vol.14, n.32, pp.183-189. ISSN 1316-3701.
Even when there is a greater openness to the issue of ethnic-racial discrimination in Venezuela, the structural link between ethnic belonging and gender condition has not been understood as a neuralgic problem that makes the African descending women more vulnerable to exclusion and poverty situations, and in particular to discrimination as a form of violence. To dignify the corporeity of afrovenezuelan women it becomes necessary to remove the deformed images that feed gender stereotypes held by centuries of domination.
Palabras clave : African descent; corporeity; exclusion.
