In making a brief review of the policy actions of the Venezuelan women between 1928 and 1947 in then national context, we rescue the suffragists role that they developed to obtain the right to vote and be elected, which become invisible under the so-called universal suffrage. We see the role of the populist government that guaranteed the right to vote to all the Venezuelans and its reasons for doing so, concluding with a brief review of the impact on the Venezuelan political imaginary of the participation of women for the first time in national political life.
