Abstract

ALI AJIB, Bashar; CABARROUY FERNANDEZ-FONTECHA, Sergio Lázaro  and  GARCIA SIMON, Amado Ignacio. Quality parameters prediction of cordless networks 802.11. uct [online]. 2005, vol.9, n.33, pp.49-57. ISSN 1316-4821.

In this paper a model to predict  covering area and data through-put for direct sequence and frequency hopping spread spectrum systems, is described Previously is ipredicted the receive power, delay spread, and fast fading, using an architectonical  database.  With that purpose a ray-tracing model, with multilayer perceptron neural network complementation, is proposed. This model was applied to indoor 802.11 networks, where errors less than 1.3m, for covering area, and 14% for data through-pat are achived.

Keywords : Cordless Networks; Effective Rate of Data Transfer; 802.11; Indoor Radioelectrical Propagation; Networks Coverage; Neuronal Networks; Quality Parameters.
