A system of differential equations is used in order to study the behaviour of a lemnaceae plant in a medium with continuous flow of nutrients (polluents) in two different conditions. Our analytical and numerical results both show that lemna persistence is related to the eutrophization processes in water reservoirs, and that care should be taken for fighting pollution of fresh water reservoirs.
