Abstract

CABELLO, Alexis et al. Dynamic model for a switched reluctance machine in digital signal processor’s simulations. uct [online]. 2006, vol.10, n.37, pp.29-34. ISSN 1316-4821.

This work presents a non lineal model for the switched reluctance motor (SRM), based on its magnetizing characteristics, with the objective of simulating the motor dynamical behavior for different control strategies. The characteristic curves must be obtained experimentally and adjusted using a polynomic function. This makes possible the development of an analytical model in first order differential equations, which can be solved by conventional numerical methods in order to simulate the motor behavior. This model is employed in simulations in MATLAB an also for a Digital Signal Processor ADSP-21364. This model shows that a voltage pulse width modulation technique allows for peak starting current reduction and also for current, speed and torque ripple reduction.
