Abstract

CHAVECO SALABARRIA, Yaritza. Quality assurance strategy for the commercialization of the Plethysmograph Angiodin® PD 3000. uct [online]. 2006, vol.10, n.37, pp.19-22. ISSN 1316-4821.

Medical Biophysics Center provide useful, reliable and effective medical equipment of high quality, in accordance with the standards of the demanding market to which they are destined. However, the lack of a certified quality system and an export license limits to a great extent the international commercialization of the Center’s products, despite having identified several niches of interest. Then, how can these equipment be introduced in the markets mentioned in the short term, legally, competitively and at the appropriate time, while the management systems are being implemented?, What mechanisms are necessary to potentiate the strengths of the products and take advantage of the demands and opportunities existent?. This paper aims at presenting the strategy followed for the introduction of the Digital Plethysmograph ANGIODIN® PD 3000 in the Venezuelan health system. The main actions taken for the design transfer, the production and the obtaining of the sanitary register are described. On the whole, the possibility of exporting a small series of ANGIODIN® PD 3000 for the first time was opened to us thanks to the close and excellent working relationships with a homologous institution and the use of the existent infrastructure and potentialities.
