Abstract

ARZOLA, Minerva; MEJIAS, Agustín  and  RAMIREZ, Héctor. Evaluation of the process of delivery of primary aluminium from the reduction to the casting area, cvg venalum. uct [online]. 2006, vol.10, n.38, pp.87-92. ISSN 1316-4821.

Actually, CVG Venalum develops a program of continuous improvement to adapt their processes to the philosophy of norm ISO 9000:2000, specifically the direction to the client, registry and analysis of results of the processes. The objectives of this research are to evaluate the variables associated with the process of delivery of primary aluminum of the area from reduction to the tap area: temperature of tap, total time of transfer, loss of temperature and avoidable delays and to verify if significant differences of these variables in the three Complexes of Reduction. The study is of descriptive-evaluative type, the information compilation obtained through the direct observation in the Complexes of Reduction V Line, Complex II and Complex I, in a lapse of three months. The analysis and information processing was made for each complex of production, soon compared the parameters between complexes. The results indicate that the three evaluated variables are located between in of control established by the client. That significant difference in the three variables evaluated in the three complexes of reduction exists. Availability of movil equipment to transfer the crisoles is the avoidable delay with greater impact, its interval of occurrence in the three complexes oscillates between 23% and 27%
