ENVIRONMENTAL DIMENSION IN UNIVERSITY SIMON BOLIVAR Abstract: University Simón Bolívar started up the Project Environmental Dimension at USB aimed to define its environmental policy, respond to its environmental problems and educate the university community. The undertaken actions were: the establishment of an institutional environmental policy; the creation of new courses on environmental issues; and the implementation of a program to provide environmental formation to faculty through the Environment at USB workshop. The identification of the main environmental problems at USB resulted from the workshop. In addition to this activity, the project Recycling of paper at USB and Interpretation at USB: its resources, culture and history is currently being developed. Future actions are oriented to implement, evaluate, and control these projects.
