Resumen

SUBERO, Karla. DESIGN OF A DEVICE TO MEASURE THE POWER PERFORMED ON A MAGNETIC STABILIZER DISK . uct [online]. 2008, vol.12, n.48, pp.199-204. ISSN 1316-4821.

As well known, monorotor helicopter needs a secondary rotor in his tail to stabilize his flight. A magnetic stabilizer is a new device that, by a turning magnetic field, induces eddy currents on a paramagnetic disk that generates the mechanical momentum necessary to stabilize the helicopter. This new device has circular form and may be installed down the flour of airship. Eliminating the tail, the conventional structure and form of monorotor helicopter may be conveniently modified. The proposal of this paper is to describe the necessary technical bases and the procedure to design and implement a cockpit instruments required by the airship pilot to know the angular velocity, the intensity of mechanical momentum generated by stabilizer and the separation between magnetic field and paramagnetic disk. To design the instrument, modern procedures of electronic design and development of microcontrollers have been used. To implement the equipment and test it, momentum, velocity and distance transducers have been used. Computational program for microcontroller PIC have been developed. In the laboratory, all electronic circuits have been tested with the proper instrumentation. Results have been satisfactory as we conclude to the end of this paper.
