Abstract

This work presents a solution to the real time parameter identification problem for a three-phase load using the “Bacterial Foraging” strategy recently proposed as a parameter optimization method. In this application the optimization process is based on measurements of the instantaneous current and voltage values that are used as inputs in a Bacterial Foraging algorithm whose results estimate the values of the resistive and inductive parameters in the system. Simulations prove the proposed strategy.
