Abstract

SPADAVECCHIA, Ulderico  and  ALLER, José. Current density analysis in an mhd channel and its iteraction with magnetic fields. uct [online]. 2010, vol.14, n.55, pp.91-102. ISSN 1316-4821.

This work performs a current density analysis inside a MHD channel and its interaction with magnetic fields. In order to analyze the distortion of the current density, geometrical parameters has been modified. Channel and electrode dimmensions, as well as electrode connection are used. The finite differences method is used to solve Laplace’s equation considering boundary conditions for the stream function, in a two-dimmensional space. Simulations modifiying the Hall parameter and the channel geometry are done and the results are compared. Finally, the electrode connetion is modified and its effect over the current density is analyzed
