Abstract
RODRIGUEZ BORGES, Ciaddy Gina; SARMIENTO SERA, Antonio and RODRIGUEZ GAMEZ, María. Alternative of electric generation by means of renewable energy sources for hotels in Venezuela. uct [online]. 2015, vol.19, n.74, pp.13-23. ISSN 1316-4821.
This paper considers the situation of hotels and tourist facilities to the problem of high energy consumption required for its functions and the need for systems generating electricity sourced generation will not be based on fossil fuels, due to the complexity of these fuel management and collection, as well as the environmental impact generated by your continued use in such installations; so we proceeded to analyze alternatives to supply electric service from renewable energy sources for some areas of priority , achieving a choice of system of self that does not use fossil fuel and that satisfies a portion of the energy demand hotel, estimated at 90 kWh / day and 220 kWh / day during peak usage times or peak for the mains. We conclude as appropriate dimensioning capabilities photovoltaic two wind hybrid systems for consumption identified, which managed to meet the energy requirements for typical ranges of available energy resources in Venezuela, once simulated a wide range of scenarios, these options estimated as superior to the economic parameters and minor impacts on environmental pollution compared to conventional power generation option backup diesel.
