VINUEZA DOMO, Kenya Katherine; SILVA ROBALINO, Jaime Rene  y  JURADO FERNANDEZ, Cristian Augusto. Soft skills and teaching educational practice in nursing. uct [online]. 2024, vol.28, n.123, pp.152-164.  Epub 01-Oct-2024. ISSN 1316-4821.  https://doi.org/10.47460/uct.v28i123.815.

Soft skills are competencies that facilitate and optimize teaching performance. This study aims to design a model for including soft skills in the educational practice of nursing teachers. To this end, a quantitative, descriptive approach with a non-experimental design was used. Two instruments were adapted to apply them to a non-probabilistic sample, of an intentional type composed of 41 teachers who declared their free and voluntary participation. The results showed a moderate positive correlation, indicating a significant relationship between the variables associated with soft skills and educational practice. The study highlights the importance of soft skills for educational practice in nursing and the need to strengthen them through an inclusion model that improves the strengths found in leadership and negotiation skills, while focusing on strengthening empathy and teamwork skills.

Palabras clave : soft skills; educational practice; higher education institution.
