MONIER LLOVIO, Daimy; MORAN MAZZINI, Alba Jazmín e JURADO FERNANDEZ, Cristian Augusto. Analysis of teacher performance and educational attention to blind students. uct [online]. 2024, vol.28, n.124, pp.37-47. Epub 27-Jan-2025. ISSN 1316-4821. https://doi.org/10.47460/uct.v28i124.842.
The article analyzes the current shortcomings in teaching performance for blind student care in general education institutions. The objective is to establish the basis of a proposed teacher training plan to care for these students. The methodology has a quantitative, non-experimental approach with a cross- sectional design. It uses a non-probabilistic intentional sample. The results were collected by applying a survey and processed using the SPSS statistical program. The findings confirm the insufficiencies that exist in the knowledge and mastery of pedagogical strategies for caring for blind students, as well as in the teacher's motivation to enrich them, which is why a training plan is proposed that includes learning the Braille system and adaptation of educational strategies for teaching performance in this area. It is concluded that attention to these students can be optimized through training.
