The aim of this study was to determine the influence of environmental management on ecosystem protection in forestry enterprises in Latin America. A quantitative, applied, explanatory, and non-experimental research design was developed. The sample consisted of 100 participants linked to the forestry sector. A structured questionnaire validated by experts and with adequate reliability was used. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between the variables, as well as a high explanatory capacity of the model, indicating that environmental management constitutes a determining factor in ecosystem protection. It is concluded that the implementation of environmental policies, strategies, and management mechanisms contributes significantly to the sustainability of forestry enterprises. These findings reinforce the importance of strengthening environmental management as a strategic axis in productive contexts in Latin America.
