Using a hermeneutic analysis of the work and pedagogical thought of French pedagogue Phillipe Meirieu as a starting point, the author tries to organize the components of the teacher training model proposed in Meirieus work. The components allow the extraction of an original sense in which we can connect the fundamental concepts that give meaning to his work as a whole. This model suggests some principles and devices for regrouping four main fields: focus on learning, action research, the training triangle and the resolution of professional problems.
