PEREZ LUNA, Enrique. Evaluation and teaching: the unit and the diverse. La Revista Venezolana de Educación (Educere) [online]. 2005, vol.9, n.31, pp.473-479. ISSN 1316-4910.
Evaluation, as a concept, goes beyond traditional scholar culture. It is deeply related to the concept of teaching. When teachers “show growth” they should receive “samples of knowledge” from students as well. This way, the process of evaluation should not be an arbitrary act or guidelines imposition of one particular pedagogic stream. On the contrary, it represents a convivial act in which respect is based on sharing learning experiences. In this context, co-evaluation becomes the most powerful evaluation activity, as well as a collective activity that guarantees the discourse of being as an inner expression of intellectuality.
Palabras clave : teaching; evaluation; co-evaluation.
