Evaluating learning is one of the aspects that require deeper modifications within the changes and transformations universities should be aware of in order to improve their educational process. Since it is practiced by teachers through tests as the only information measuring element the student receives. A diagnose to determine current evaluative practices used by teachers to establish student performance was performed. The sample was made up out of 211 professors from different faculties at the University of Los Andes. A questionnaire was used for collecting information. From the diagnose, some considerations were generated supporting the final reflections in order to contribute to the student’s integral education; with the purpose of facing the challenges forced by the new millennium before globalization and the knowledge society.
