Incorporating music as well as the music-therapy phenomena in medical institutions is a growing-interest area for all of us who dedicate ourselves to the caring of hospitalized children in favor of their livelihood. Together with the theory derived from this approach is imperative to highlight the existence of a growing body of empirical evidence and of important implications within the professional practice. Taking into account the need of making hospital staying more pleasant, this article is mainly focused on providing a vision of music as an instrument of personal development and as a mean of expression and entertainment, besides valuing the initiatives’ spectrum developed within the hospital context presented as a need that should be considered and developed.
